Hand carved pair of pomegranates attached to the traditional Chinese "RuYi". The pomegranate is one of the oldest fruits to man; it has been a symbol of "Love and Peace" for many cultures. Also, becasue its great quantity of seeds, many Chinese people believe it brings success and production. "RuYi" (or scepter) in Chinese means "as you wish", and it was traditionally believed to have the magic power to grant wishes. Here the combination of natural form with the symbolic object conveys "Peace and Fulfilled wishes." Classically hand carved skill on White & Lavender jade, produced from "KunLun" Mountains, XinJiang, China.
